I am back!!

Wow, I took quite the vacation from this blogging world didn't I? Well now I am back with my hairstyling and makeup tips!
Trending huge right now is an "after thought" ponytail. Whether it is set right at the nape of the neck or on top at the crown of the head. Somewhat tidy in the front and thrown messily (that's my word) ;) together at the back. Shown here.










HUGE trend right now was and still is HAIR ACCESSORIES!! Whether it be feathers in your hair or sparkles or flowers, headbands with huge feathers and flowers! Almost anything goes right now. Want to be unique and creative? Head out to the local craft store to pick up your own flowers/gems/jewels and create your own headband. You will fit right in ;)

Style Trends for Spring/Summer!!!!

MMmmm warm weather is here! New clothes brought out of the closet, bought at the store, new hair cut or colour to freshen up the winter hair blahs, new bronzed skin, new fresh air and smells....THUS new style trends each new season.
So what is new and popular for this 2010 summer?! Don't we all want to know!!! ;)
A trend this summer which I absolutely love and think is so perfect is the messy/elegant hair bun or chignon.
* Easily styled by separating the hair into 2 sections.
Loosely twist the bottom section into a messy bun. Securing with an elastic or pins.
Then pin back mini sections of the rest of your hair into the bun and the center right above it. To give it a more elegant look curl the top section a bit first and then tease and mess it up to stay away from the overstyled hairsprayed wedding look.
* So cute for the summer, versatile between day and night, and perfect for those hot days when you want your hair off your neck but still avoiding the traditional pony-tail. This style works well for any hair length longer than your shoulders. Basically as long as you can pin it back ;)
And practice makes perfect!!! The more you try the better it will look, enjoy!!

Photo Shoot!

A few Saturday's ago I had the opportunity to help out on a fun, crazy, cool photo shoot located downtown Toronto. A friend of mine had a project to do for her school competition. She is a fashion communications student at Ryerson University. The winner gets a 2 page spread in Flare magazine apparently...so GOOD LUCK to her!!! :) There were two looks, one a bit more classy/trendy and the other funky/trendy. Both very stylish and unique! The models did great and were beautiful as well! (and soo young!! lol 17!!! they both looked 22!) I guess that's the modeling world though right!!?! The photographer did amazing also, she has such talent! Her website is www.maayanziv.com if you want to check out her work. When I get the pics from her I will post a couple up but for now I just have a few fun ones I took with my camera, I am no photographer or editor so these are just to show the amazing look of the girls...well done to the makeup artists as well for pulling off this no eyebrow look! MASCARA!!

Girls best friend??? Well mine at least!! Mascara, mascara and more mascara...how many have we all tried??? Really? The first time I remember testing out makeup I was about 14 or 15, and wow! I discovered I actually had eyelashes!! My eyelashes are dark at the root but then fade out to blond at the tips (how strange is that??) so if I don't wear mascara compared to when I do! Completely different eye!! (All thanks to my momma on the eyelash front, she has daddy-long leg spider like eyelashes, but they are blond..so no ones knows) ;)
Sooo I learned early on in my self-discovery phases that mascara was a must! Accentuate your best features right?? And the search for the best brand began...13 years later...20+ different brands later...I have found it...A mascara I highly recommend and use on myself and any client I work on!
L'Oreal Double Extend...in black.
Now I can list off to you all the reasons that L'Oreal states this is the best mascara, but for me I don't care...I go for what works and if I see results!
Why I loooove this brand??
First, it does what it says!! It extends for shoo!! My eyelashes come out longest with this amazing stuff than any other brand.
Number 2 reason why?? IT DOESN'T FLAKE off!!! Amazing!!! Don't you hate that?!!? Wearing mascara all day only to see little bits under the corner of your eye by night? This is definately a go from work to nightlife mascara!! Lasts and lasts!!! I will admit I have fallen asleep with it on and it still looks great in the mornin'.
And Thirdly...It washes off in the most amazing way!! I dunno about youuu, but when I wash off any other mascara, in the shower or at the sink, I definately look like a raccoon after the first rinse, and I have to repeat about 3 more time until my face is clean of the black smudges, THIS stuff, not smudgin!! Comes off as if they were fake eyelashes..in little tubes!! You practically just pull it off with very warm water. And presto!! Done!!
So go out and buy it people...it is WORTH it!!!

It's A New Day!!

Well! Here I am! I have joined the blogging world!! I am brand new and still finding my way around this site but for now I am likin' it!!
Here I will be putting up my business info and tips and random beauty topics, and a bit of personal life stories as well!! So this should be fun! :D
